Liposuction
Body Contouring
Liposuction is a body contouring procedure designed to remove localised fat deposits that may not respond to diet and exercise. Liposuction is not a weight-loss procedure and is best suited for body shaping and contour refinement in patients with stable weight. A consultation is required to determine your individual suitability.

Important: In accordance with AHPRA guidelines, a minimum 7-day cooling-off period applies between your initial cosmetic surgery consultation and any procedure. The information on this page is for general educational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice. Individual results vary. A consultation with a Specialist Plastic Surgeon is required to discuss your suitability.

Frequently asked questions
Is liposuction permanent?
Fat cells removed during liposuction are permanently removed, though future weight gain can affect remaining fat cells. Maintaining a stable weight is important for long-term outcomes.
Can liposuction tighten loose skin?
Liposuction primarily removes fat and does not significantly tighten excess skin. Other procedures may be more appropriate where skin laxity is a concern — this will be discussed during consultation.
